Well hello there!

Let’s talk.

And by that I mean, email.

(Despite the photo, I basically never ever ever answer my phone unless I’ve pinky-promised I’ll be waiting by it. And I don’t check my voicemail. My outgoing message is pretty clear about that. In fact, the long list of people I am okay with speaking to on the phone PRETTY MUCH means the person I was talking to in this photo was MY SISTER. Who probably emailed me first so I’d answer the phone. You get the picture.)

BUT PLEASE DO EMAIL ME! I LOVE EMAIL! MY EMAIL IS:

    Hi Sarah,
I love your blog. I started following you when I was pregnant with my twins. I have 6 month old boys. We are finally coming up for air and feeling a bit of a flow in life again. I also have two little girls 7 and 9 years old. I noticed in one of your blogs you said you run. I am a runner too (or used to be) I am exhausted! I start out to run then make myself finish at least 10 minutes. Did you have to build yourself back up to mileage or was it an easy transition for you. I am also nursing so I am hoping when I am done I will get more energy back. Thanks for your blog I have been enjoying it and have received lots of good info from it.

Hi Melodee. I run, if by run you mean jog, and really slowly. I go out at 5 am, before the rest of the house is awake. Every time I fall off the wagon (like I did in October while the movie was shooting) is start again like this: I walk the dog to the end of our street, about a 1/4 mile. Then I run back to our house. Done. 15 minutes. The next morning, I run 2 houses further. Eventually I end up covering about 2 miles — I’ve never gone further as everytime I get that far some life event hits that scuttles my morning runs, and I end up starting over again at the beginning. Like I did this morning. And it’s only 3 weeks till my kids’ winter break, which will get me off track again. But I find starting over at the beginning keeps me from procrastinating BEGINNING again — I know it’s an easy start, so I do it. Good luck! And I truly recommend going first thing in the a.m. There is nothing like telling people you run at 5 am 😉
